The Gospel of Mark – performed live and uncut – with original music.
- An audience.
- A place to perform.
- Refreshments in the interval.
‘John Mark’ arrives to relate the extraordinary story of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. There is joy and sorrow, comedy and pathos as, one after another, the characters in the drama come to life. The story is briskly told using a chair, a table, and the few simple items he carries.
The vivid gospel narrative is underscored throughout by live music which captures the shifting mood of the crowds.
Following a short interval, we begin the journey towards Jerusalem and the cross.
After the burial of Jesus, members of the audience are invited to share bread and wine which has been used to remember the events of the Last Supper, before the startling discovery of the empty tomb…
The performance lasts about 2 hours 15 minutes (including interval).
